The Team
A New York studiofor buildingspeople live in.
Sky Up Design is a full-service practice in interior design, architecture, and 3D visualization - one team from first sketch to final fixture.
We work on the shared, ground-floor life of residential buildings across New York - lobbies, amenity floors, rooftops, corridors, and residences - and, increasingly, high-end condominiums.

The Approach
Three movements,one continuous team.
01
Concept
We begin with the building, the block, and the buyer. Site, brief, and precedent are examined together until a single, defensible design idea emerges - the one the project can be argued from.
02
Design
That idea is drawn into every plan, elevation, material, and fixture. Interior, architecture, and 3D visualization are handled in one studio, so what is presented in renderings is what is drawn to build.
03
Delivery
We stay through documentation, procurement, and site - reviewing shop drawings, finishes, and installations. The finished space matches the intent, down to the joinery.

Principal & Lead Designer
Eduardo AceroRodriguez
Eduardo Acero Rodriguez is an award-winning interior and furniture designer with over 16 years of international experience spanning Colombia and New York City. His work bridges interior architecture, furniture design, and industrial design, creating spaces and objects that are defined by timeless aesthetics, refined craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of how people experience the built environment.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Eduardo earned his degree in Industrial Design from Universidad Autonoma before beginning his professional career designing interiors and custom furniture. His passion for design was shaped early through hands-on woodworking experience in his family's carpentry workshop and by a lifelong admiration for architecture inspired by his brother, an architect. These experiences established a design philosophy rooted in material honesty, precision, and craftsmanship.
In 2016, Eduardo relocated to New York City, where he has spent the past decade designing luxury residential developments, hospitality-inspired amenity spaces, lobbies, and bespoke interiors throughout Manhattan and the greater New York metropolitan area. His multidisciplinary background allows him to seamlessly integrate architecture, interiors, lighting, furniture, and custom millwork into cohesive and sophisticated environments.
Wood remains the foundation of Eduardo's creative language. Inspired by nature, Colombian landscapes, architecture, and sculpture, he explores the emotional relationship between materials, light, and form. His work balances contemporary elegance with functional innovation, producing designs that are both visually striking and technically feasible.
Eduardo's commitment to excellence has earned him international recognition through three prestigious A' Design Awards. In 2025, his Renzo Accent Chair received the Iron A' Design Award, recognizing its innovative interpretation of solid wood craftsmanship and contemporary furniture design. In 2026, he received two Bronze A' Design Awards for the Lagoon Concept Coffee Table, inspired by the geography of Colombia's Guatape Lake, and the AB Accent Chair, a sculptural seating design that combines ergonomic comfort with refined material expression. These awards reflect his dedication to creating original, meaningful, and internationally recognized design solutions.
Beyond his professional practice, Eduardo continues to develop his personal furniture brand, Ace+Ro, where he explores collectible furniture and original design concepts that celebrate craftsmanship, innovation, and cultural identity. His long-term vision is to build an internationally recognized design studio where architecture, interiors, and furniture come together through a singular design language defined by authenticity, material excellence, and enduring beauty.

3D Visualizer
Julian AceroRodriguez
Julian Acero Rodriguez is a 3D visualization artist at Sky Up Design, where he turns design concepts into images so convincing they can make you wonder whether the project has already been built. His work turns ideas into immersive visual experiences that accurately communicate materiality, finishes, lighting, and atmosphere, allowing clients and users to experience a space long before it becomes reality.
Holding a bachelor's degree in industrial design from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota, Colombia, Julian's practice is grounded in a strong understanding of form, proportion, materials, and construction logic. This foundation lets him approach visualization not merely as a means of representation, but as a design tool that helps anticipate decisions, resolve details, and communicate design intent with clarity.
His work bridges the gap between concept and reality, giving weight, texture, and character to every project before it takes physical form. By combining the strategic mindset of industrial design with the technical precision of architectural visualization, he creates images that do more than showcase a space. They invite people to imagine what it feels like to inhabit it.

Drafter
AlejandroArdila
Alejandro Ardila is an architect and industrial designer with specialized training in interior design, bringing extensive experience across architectural, commercial, and spatial design projects. His multidisciplinary background lets him approach architecture from both a creative and a technical angle, integrating spatial planning, functionality, materials, and constructability into cohesive design solutions.
He has worked on a wide range of projects, including office renovations, commercial and retail spaces, exhibition stands, temporary architecture, and custom installations. His experience in commercial and experiential environments has sharpened his ability to design spaces that communicate identity, enhance user experience, and make efficient use of available space.
Alejandro has strong expertise in architectural finishes, material selection, interior detailing, custom furniture, construction documentation, and architectural visualization. His industrial design background adds a deep understanding of scale, ergonomics, and fabrication, along with how objects relate to the spaces around them.
For Alejandro, successful architecture goes beyond visual impact. It means understanding how people interact with their environment, how materials perform, and how a concept becomes a functional, buildable space. With a versatile approach spanning architecture, industrial design, and interior design, he brings a well rounded perspective to every project and collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
